Mayor Jan Liggett declares the celebration open. Octoberfest – Thanksgiving on a bun! John Mitchell October 12, 2023 Where I Live 0 Comments Yesterday, October 11th, 2023 was keg tapping day in Cambridge Ontario. Octoberfest is like Thanksgiving on a bun. The following is a series of images I created at the event. I hope you enjoy. Free food brings out lots of people, especially when it’s Octoberfest sausage. Imagine if it came with a beer to wash it down. Saurerkraugt mustard and ketchup; just what any Octoberfest sausage needs. Fire department was on hand in case the sausage got burnt. Decorations and dignitaries. Mayor and past mayor (now regional councillor) Somebody’s having fun. They probably got the beer. Mayor Jan Liggett declares the celebration open. Clean up aisle 11. They mopped up the spillage from the keg tapping. Why didn’t they just hand out straws? Entertainment. Germulikeight! Friends. Friends and free food. What could be better? It’s all about community and sharing. And free sausage. Lots of free sausage. It’s like Thanksgiving on a bun.
