From the roadway I looked down into the valley below me. The blanket of snow is dotted with numerous footprints, some human and many from the forest inhabitants. In the bottom I can see the frozen covered Sulpher Creek meandering through the gulley. A bridge crosses the frozen tributary, providing passage to hikers.

As I look down I can't help but recall, a few short years ago I would eagerly hike to the bottom in search of more compositions to capture. Time takes its toll and I stay to the main trail, looking on from a distance. — DOWN IN THE VALLEY
